If you are ever in Austin for work, vacation or live, Threadgill’s is a must stop. The restaurant is located at 6416 North Lamar and the hours of operations are from Monday through Saturday from 11:00 A.M to 10:00 P.M and Sunday from 11:00 A.M to 9:00 P.M.
The restaurant is said to have been the first one in the country with a beer license and in the 1960′s it hosted Janis Joplin and Jimmie Dale Gilmore in the 1980′s. The original owner Kenneth Threadgill had no idea what a special place it would have in history. Kenneth Threadgill opened station by the person who was a bootlegger and had a love for country music, when it opened the county went from “dry” to “wet”, and in the winter the restaurant got its liquor license, and it soon became one of the spots for musicians to play at since it was open 24/7; unfortunately the original building was burnt down in the 1980′s but it was re-build in a short period of time.
The restaurants prices are very affordable, for appetizers you can order the Buffalo chicken tender basket which is four chicken strips dipped in a spicy wing sauce and served with blue cheese dressing and celery for $ 7.45, or you can order the smoked chicken cheese-a-dillos which is flour tortillas stuffed with chicken, cheese, black beans and diced green chilies for $ 8.25.

I have read and researched how to brew beer but in Ohio there is a 4000 dollar licensing fee to manufacture and sell it. I need tips on how to at least come close to breaking even.

get a job at walmart. work 40 hrs a week at 7 an hour. in about 4 months you’ll have saved up enough to by the license fee
