What Are Good Foods to Help Get Rid of the Gout?

What Are Good Foods to Help Get Rid of the Gout?

I’m often asked this and my reply is always the same; that it’s not just what you eat that helps get rid of the gout, but more importantly, what you don’t eat. Let me explain…

GOUT CAUSES

Your agonizing gout is caused by crystals in your joints that have formed out of you having high uric acid levels in your bloodstream. But uric acid is actually a byproduct of chemical compounds called ‘purines’ that are part of the metabolizing process in your body. When these breakdown as part of this process, uric acid is produced.

Your kidneys then take up this uric acid, process it and then excrete excess from your body. But sometimes your kidneys can get overwhelmed by the amount of acid being produced, or, they just don’t work efficiently enough for some reason. When this happens excess uric acid is retained and you finish up with high levels in your blood, leading to crystal formation and gout.

PURINES IN FOOD

Gout and diet are linked. As well as being in your body cells, purines are found at varying concentrations in your food. So you see that you are continually adding purines to your system. But, as a gout victim, you need to reduce your uric acid to get rid of gout, so you need to reduce the amount of purines being ingested.

Now, as I said before, purines exist at varying levels or concentrations in our foods. So your first step is to identify which foods are high in purines and which are relatively low in purines. And guess what? You need to avoid the foods that are high in purines, and, replace with those that are low in purines. In this way you formulate a good gout diet for yourself.

FOODS TO AVOID TO HELP GET RID OF GOUT

Generally speaking, foods high in purines are also foods that are high in protein, for example; offal / organ meats such as liver and kidneys, poultry like duck and goose, fish such as herring and sardines, shellfish like mussels and scallops, and also yeast and yeast products.

GOOD FOODS TO HELP GET RID OF GOUT

On the other hand, your good foods to help get rid of gout are things like; essential fatty acids food (e.g. tuna, nuts, seeds, flaxseed, etc.), high vitamin C (e.g. red bell peppers, red cabbage, potatoes, etc.), green leafy vegetables (but not spinach or asparagus), low-fat dairy produce (yogurt, milk, cheese, etc.), and complex carbohydrates (e.g. breads, cereals, rice, pasta, as well as fruits and vegetables).

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES TO BE CONSIDERED IN GETTING RID OF GOUT

A good diet for gout is very important in helping to determine whether you’ll keep getting gout, or, whether you’ll be able to eliminate it. But there are several other important things that you need to address as well. These are things such as your weight, your lifestyle, any underlying medical conditions, your family history of arthritis / gout, etc.

As well as getting rid of the symptoms of a gout attack, you also need to prevent recurring gout, as this may cause kidney problems and even permanent joint damage, if they occur frequently enough over a sufficient period.

You’re in luck though. There’s a special gout report available online [see below] that has all the information you need in one place. It is what thousands of ex-gout victims worldwide have successfully used to prevent their gout returning. It also contains a special 2 hour gout pain relief program.

And it uses fully-researched, totally natural methods. So that you benefit two ways: (1) you get rid of your excruciating pain very fast, and, (2) you prevent your gout returning, so that you reduce the risk of permanent damage.

So next, if you want to get gout pain relief in 2 hours, plus, prevent your gout returning in the future, then go to http://gout-relief-today.blogspot.com and discover how you can quickly do both without expensive drugs with their horrible side effects.

Funny Pictures for a Good Laugh

Funny Pictures for a Good Laugh

When the economy looks gloomy, everyone needs some humor for a good laugh. As the saying goes, “Laughter is the best medicine.” That’s probably true to a certain extent. Laughter can most certainly help relieve stress. And as we all know, too much stress can be harmful to health. Fortunately, there are tons of free resources on the Internet that will have you in stitches in no time. Let’s take a look at some of these resources.

Funny pictures.

There are all kinds of funny pictures on the Internet. Some are based on true events, while others are created just for a few good laughs. For instance, you can find entertainment images of your favorite celebrities. Mostly, these are images that are edited by fans and posted on various humor sites. There are literally hundreds (or thousands) of such images on the web. You just have to know where to look.

Cool stuff.

Cool stuff are entertaining as well. These are pictures that may or may not be funny. But there are very interesting. People tend to circulate such pictures via email to their family and friends because these images look cool. Looking cool means the subject of focus is something that is out of the ordinary. For instance, you may see a picture of a cool robot that is created from scrap metal.

Illusions.

Illusions can provide hours and hours of entertainment. These images are created with the intention of fooling the perception of the viewer. The illusions are mostly created with clever image editing tricks. A single image can be used to represent more than one view – depending on how you look at the picture. Usually, you will need to spend a few minutes on each picture just to be able to see the optical illusion.

Funny kids pictures.

Children are always fun to have around. They get into lots of funny situations because of their innocence. Many children photos don’t even need to be edited. The original photos are already pretty funny. Besides, children have the liberty to do anything they want without getting into trouble. So the possibilities for great pictures are endless. For example, a young child posing as a football fan can show the middle finger and look cute. An adult showing the middle finger will certainly come across as offensive!

Military images.

Sometimes, a serious environment can create the most hilarious situations. For those who enjoy military jokes, such images are ideal. Jokes are often based on soldiers and interesting looking weaponry.

Funny people pictures.

Children can be funny, but sometimes, adults get into humorous situations as well. Many of these pictures or snapshots of adults making funny faces. On occasions, you get to see funny things happening to adults in real life. These are usually shots that are captured while an adult is working. During the act, an accident happens (like falling off a ladder). Adults clowning around can be quite funny at times.

Political jokes.

Many people like to make fun of politicians. Instead of adopting a serious view about politics, many bloggers and webmasters create funny pictures of key figures. These images tend to attract more readers.

Note that most of the works mentioned above are created purely for entertainment. If you find some of the jokes to be offensive, simply shut them out. Just browse less offensive images like children’s funny pictures.

When my grandson was younger we would play marco polo. He always wanted to play with more kids but we just did not have any. I know he would love to play with about 120 kids and think about how fun that could be.

Higher Beer Prices on the Way as Barley Costs Increase

Higher Beer Prices on the Way as Barley Costs Increase

There are three main costs to brewing beer, whether that’s beer at a major international brewery or with a microbrewery – labor, bottles or cans and barley. The cost of brewing your favorite beverage is set to increase in the not too distant future thanks to a massive shortfall in one of those three categories. Barely is increasing in price around the world, and that cost will be passed on to breweries. Canada is one of the two largest exporters of malting barley in the world, and 2010 marked the worst harvest for our northern neighbor in a very long time.

In fact, during 2010, Canada did not export any malting barley at all. That means the global supply of this vital component of many beer recipes will be less available than previously. According to the Canadian government, the cost of barley is set to jump by about one-third. Previously, a metric tonne of malting barley cost about 3. The 2011 crop will cost 7 per metric tonne. What does this mean for breweries and beer lovers around the world? It means that you’ll need to dig a bit deeper in your pocket for that next purchase.

Of course, everything has increased in price, from basic groceries like meat, vegetables and cheese to processed foods, so the increase in the price for malting barley is just another “sign of the times.” However, the cost could be so high that some very small breweries cannot afford to remain in business. Those hardest hit will be home brewers and nano breweries, followed by microbreweries and then the major players. Everyone will have higher costs, though, and those costs will certainly be passed along to the beer drinkers out there.

Canadian authorities don’t expect to see a massive decline in beer consumption and the same is likely to be true here in the States as well. People love their beer and those who set it as a necessity will still continue to buy it. It will still be poured in bars and taverns throughout the world. People will likely be purchasing less of it at a time, though. Most experts predict that drinkers will be purchasing 12-packs or 6-packs rather than full cases because of the cost increases coming down the line. Still, so long as brewers are able to keep doing what they do best, brew aficionados will help them stay in business and things will improve, eventually.
